Featuring the Systema approach to developing use of the Stick and Strike Defense. In this seminar we will look at how to deal with someone wielding a stick by learning how to “fight the man, not the weapon”.  Systema excels at teaching self-defense through CONTACT and ADAPTATION through MOVEMENT. The BODY learns to move and save you far more quickly than the mind, or a learned technique or defensive pattern or posture. The STICK through its SOLIDITY and INFLEXIBILITY, teaches us how to be RELAXED (not rigid) and ADAPTABLE. Possible applications for lawful citizens, might be during a home invasion, while being attacked as you enter or exit a car, or when walking down the street. The stick application could be with a broom or umbrella.

This seminar will be presented by Adam and Brendan Zettler, twin brothers, just 21 years old, both instructors and protégés of the world renowned Vladimir Vasiliev. Adam and Brendan arrived at Systema headquarters from Keswick, Ontario, just 3 years ago. Since then phenomenally fast learning curve of Systema has been demonstrated time and time again through their progress. Their martial prowess and all areas of Systema, as well as their deep spiritual commitment and connection with Vladimir, has seen two teenagers mature into well rounded young men and leaders within the Russian Martial Art.
